Sol y Tierra, Acrylic, 48 x 60, 2013

It is Earth's relationship to the sun, and the amount of light it receives, that is responsible for the seasons and biodiversity. The amount of sun a region receives depends on the tilt of Earth's axis and not its distance from the sun.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Graduated from the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) with a BA/Fine Arts in Painting along with a special elective study of the Mexican Arts (muralism) in Mexico City. I began an advocate for the Public Arts. Inaddition a BA degree in Chicano Studies, BA. (CSUN).

My art objectives are acrylic painting & digital photo-graphics. My Interest is in abstract-figurative shapes, forms, contours, and the appearances of color and light in abstract paintings, including the subjective depictions of iconic natures or phenomena, landscapes, mountains, rain, streams, atmospheric scenes, and our outer cosmos.

An art review (critique) described my paintings as an archetype in Jungian psychology—a primitive mental image inherited from the earliest human ancestors and supposed to be present in the collective unconscious invoking the conception of deep emotions.
